The Taylor Technologies K-2005 Complete™ Pool Test Kit has a rugged design and testing parameters that include all water balance and sanitation tests that any homeowner would need to ensure properly balanced water.
The 2000 series of kits uses a comparator with a larger sample size allowing for better resolution in the tests. One of the most popular test kits used in Canada by commercial operators and public health inspectors, the K-2005 is increasingly being used by home owners that want to be self- reliant. The K-2005 uses DPD to measure chlorine and bromine, which is a colourmeteric determination of the sanitation concentration.
Range
- pH: 6.8-8.2
- Total Chlorine: 0.5 ppm -5 ppm
- Total Bromine: 1 ppm – 10 ppm
- Total Alkalinity: Ideal Range 80-120, acceptable range 80-150
- Calcium Hardness: Ideal range 200 ppm - 400 ppm
- CYA: Ideal range 30 ppm - 50 ppm
Number of tests:
- pH: 105 tests
- Chlorine/Bromine 105 tests
- Total Alkalinity: 52 tests at 100 ppm
- Calcium Hardness: 26 tests at 200 ppm
- CYA: 6 tests per bottle / 12 tests per kit
For Accurate Test Kit Results
- Keep test kits and reagents in the right condition, keep them in a cool, dark place away from other chemicals
- Keep test kits and reagents out of direct sunlight
- Test kits and reagents should be kept at room temperature or colder (2 -29 C), keep them out of extreme temperatures
- Make sure the lid securely fastened, as well as all caps secured tightly on the reagent bottles
- Keep out of reach of children, SDS’ are available upon request
- Make sure the colour comparator is in good condition. Check for cracks, faded colour swatch
- If the comparator is cloudy, a light acid solution usually cleans them up, if not a new comparator is needed
- Avoid contamination by not interchanging cap of the reagent bottles
- Wipe, clean and dry all equipment after use
- When comparing the colour of the sample against the known colour swatch, use day light opposed to indoor light
